Worthing secure Ryman Premier status after 1-1 draw with Hillians
Substitute Jack Newhouse scored a 94th minute equaliser as Worthing sealed Ryman Premier Division survival with a 1-1 draw with Burgess Hill Town.
Children’s charity Rockinghorse will be present at our final home game of the season on Easter Monday, collecting for their ‘Sussex Giving for Sussex Children’ appeal.
Part of their 50th anniversary year, the appeal is aiming to provide £500,000 to be split between 10 local children’s projects – one of which being the Bluefin Ward, paediatric unit at Worthing Hospital. There will be three volunteers present at the ground from 11am onwards so please give generously towards this worthy cause.
Read more about how the funds will help the Bluefin Ward on the Rockinghorse website.
On the pitch Worthing take on local rivals Burgess Hill Town. At the time of writing neither club is mathematically safe from relegation, although Worthing could secure their Premier Division status with a win at Wingate & Finchley on Saturday. The Hillians currently sit 3 places and 2 points above the drop-zone following a vital 2-0 win at Harrow Borough at the weekend.
Kick-off is the earlier time of 12pm, while admission is £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and under-16’s go free.
