Young pair head out on loan
Defenders Matt Boiling and Charlie Williamson have joined Horsham and Worthing United respectively on short-term-agreements in order to gain valuable playing time.
Both players have featured heavily for the first team at times this season but with Adam Hinshelwood continually strengthening the squad it’s been agreed to let the two promising players go out and gain some more experience of senior football.
Central defender Boiling who has made 37 appearances at the tender age of 17-years-old has joined division-lower Horsham. He put in an assured display as he helped the Hornets to a 2-1 league victory at Faversham Town on his debut on Saturday.
Full-back Williamson who has had previous experience of the Southern Combination Football League with Wick has dual-signed with Premier Division outfit and near-neighbours Worthing United. He too made his debut at the weekend playing the full 90 minutes as the Mavericks went down to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Newhaven.
Hinshelwood said: “Both these boys are talented players with big futures ahead of them, I felt it was right, to continue their development to send them out on loan to get some more invaluable experience of men’s football in the coming weeks”.
Everyone at the club wishes both players luck with the respective loan spells.
