Match Preview: Harlow Town vs Worthing
Worthing face a trip to Essex tomorrow to face a Harlow Town side just one place and four points better off than them in the Bostik League Premier Division table.
After the heartbreak of last Saturday’s late equaliser for Harrow Borough turning three points into one, Adam Hinshelwood’s men go into the game on the back of a good performance in Tuesday night’s friendly with National League South side Whitehawk.
Hinshelwood said ‘The game was good for those who hadn’t played a lot recently to get some minutes under their belts, valuable minutes in my opinion, Jesse Starkey (who joined on loan from Gillingham recently) hasn’t played a lot lately and was important for us and him to get time on the pitch’.

‘I’ve told the players to go and enjoy it on Saturday, we can only worry about ourselves and that’s what we plan to do. So far, the players have been really receptive since I came back to the club, but we do need to turn the draws into wins and start to climb the table and what better way to start on Saturday and close that gap down to one point.’
‘We have a good number in the squad currently, we’ve tweaked the formation slightly to make us more competitive and hopefully that will help us take home the points.’
Hinshelwood confirmed midfielders Reece Hallard and Ross Edwards will miss the game through injury, whilst Darren Budd is unavailable due to work commitments, however Alex Parsons is back in the squad and Starkey will also be involved.
The Worthing boss will be hoping to avoid a repeat of our last visit to the Harlow Arena in January of this year when the Hawks hit six in a 6-2 win and despite their lowly league position, 14 of their 15 total points this season have been won at home meaning the Mackerel Men will have to be at their best to avoid what would be a damaging defeat at their current nearest rivals.
Kick-off tomorrow is 3pm at the Harlow Arena, CM19 5BE. If you can’t make it to the game, you can keep up to date with score updates via our Twitter, @WorthingFC.
