Wild informs Hinshelwood of decision to move on

Striker Jimmy Wild has informed manager Adam Hinshelwood he’d like to seek first team opportunities away from the club.

The 20-year-old only arrived at Woodside Road in November but has found a starting role difficult to hold down with only 6 of his 16 appearances coming from the start.

Despite this he managed 4 goals which only put him behind Kieron Pamment, Ben Pope and Zack Newton in the club’s top goalscorers this season.

Manager Adam Hinshelwood said Wild’s departure was all very ‘amicable’ and the door was open for a return.

‘Jimmy just wanted the guarantee of more game time and less of a bit-part role – at this moment in time I can’t give him that so we decided it was best that he should go and get some game time somewhere’.

‘I understand his decision, It was all very amicable and the door is very much open for him to return – we agreed to keep in touch over the next month or so and see where we stand’.

Wild’s departure doesn’t leave Hinshelwood too light upfront with Ben Pope and David Herbert still at the club, while returning loanee Reece Meekums has also filled the main striker role in recent weeks.
