After the Mackerel Men’s unbeaten record went on Saturday in a 1-0 home defeat by Margate, manager Adam Hinshelwood is hoping his side can bounce back immediately and secure another three precious league points.

‘I’m expecting another tough encounter from a newly promoted team. but one we’re looking forward to. We know they like to play 3 up front, play high up the pitch and look to put teams on the back foot from the off.’

‘Being a windy day, it could make the game more challenging and yes it is a bit of a journey for us to undertake, but I wouldn’t use those as an excuse for having an off day. Although you want long distance games like this on a Saturday rather than Tuesday night, they are part and parcel of the level we’re at and you get used to it. However, we will be prepared as usual ready to give a good account of ourselves.’

Hinshelwood will be without the services of Aarran Racine and Alex Parsons, ankle and hamstring injuries preventing both players from travelling, but is boosted by the return of Jazz Rance from a sore hip.

The match at the The Pakex Stadium kicks off at 7.45pm. Admission prices are £12 Adults, £8 Concessions and £1 Under 16’s.
