The two sides are set to enjoy their fourth season in the division, after they both gained promotion from the Ryman Division One South in the 2015-16 league campaign.

After a successful pre-season which saw them lose only one game out of seven, Adam Hinshelwood’s squad is almost present and correct, most recently recruiting Brighton and Hove Albion u18 goalkeeper Roco Rees to fill the boots of the absent Carl Rushworth – currently out injured.

They will also be boosted by the arrival of striker Shola Ayoola, after the former Stoke City man opened his Worthing account with a goal in the 6-0 victory over Whyteleafe last Saturday.

The Mackerels came out on top on both occasions the teams met last season, winning 3-2 at Woodside Road and 1-0 at Folkestone.

Meanwhile Invicta, who missed out on a playoff place by only a single point last campaign, enjoyed a nine-match long pre-season, scoring 22 goals throughout.
