“Last Saturday was the sort of game that could have gone either way, just like a lot of games in this league but we now need follow that up with a couple of wins at home.”
The Mackerels returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory away to Cheshunt last weekend, and Hinshelwood has a near-full squad to choose from going into their first game out of two in four days.
“Ollie (Pearce) is the only one definitely not available to us, Buddy is still obviously recovering and Ross Edwards should be back in contention now so it’s a good squad to have to pick from at this stage in the season.”
The visitors haven’t had the best start to their campaign so far, having only picked up two wins in 19th position just below the bottom three, but Hinsh insists his side mustn’t be complacent going into the fixture.
“They certainly haveĀ a lot of quality, especially the lad they have up top who will pose a threat so we can’t afford to take them lightly, we need to be professional in order to build upon last week.”
Last seasons meetings between the two sides saw Worthing win 2-0 away in Essex back in January thanks to goals from Jalen Jones and Ollie Pearce, before David Ajiboye equalised to cancel out Regent’s one goal lead to share the spoils at Woodside Road in March.
