Saturday saw The Mackerels win at home against Kingstonian 2-1 thanks to goals from Callum Kealy and Ricky Aguair, and boss Adam Hinshelwood has tried to use every possible opportunity since to ensure his squad are ready for the test tonight,

“Over the two days we’ve been catching up with the boys and seeing who’s available and if anyone’s picked up any knocks from Saturday”

The Moatsiders currently occupy 10th position on 10 points having played a game more than Worthing, and Hinsh acknowledges the challenge they will bring to his side,

“We know it’s going to be a tough test against Merstham, they’ve had a similar start to the season as us but we’ll go into the game knowing we have an opportunity to forge a six point gap between us and them.”

Merstham came out on top in all three occasions the sides met last campaign, winning 3-1 in the Velocity cup at Woodside Road, followed by a goal to nil win at The Moatside then a 4-2 win back at Woodside.
