The tie comes 12 days after The Reds’ Boxing Day triumph against this evening’s opponents, curtesy of a brace from Ollie Pearce and a first half goal from Alex Parsons to give them a 3-0 victory.

Worthing eased to a 3-0 win away to AFC Varndeanians at The Withdean stadium in the previous round of the competiton, while Horsham eventually overcame Littlehampton Town thanks to a penalty shootout, after Alex Kelley equalised for The Yellows with a minute of normal time remaining to set up tonight’s clash.

A win for The Mackerels would see them reach the semi-final stage for the first time since 2016, when they defeated Whitehawk on penalties after a 2-2 draw – going all the way to the final and narrowly losing at the hands of National League south side Eastbourne Borough by a goal to nil.
