John Donoghue, a UEFA ‘A’ License coach, will be taking the reins as manager of the Women’s side. John has been the First Team Head Coach for Brighton & Hove Albion Women, as well as Manager and Technical Director at Lewes FC Women, two sides competing in the top tiers of women’s football.

He has also worked extensively in youth football, first as a Head Coach in the Southampton academy which produced the likes of Luke Shaw and Gareth Bale, and then at the Centre of Excellence at Brighton.

Joining as his assistant is Kelly Newton, the former captain of Lewes FC Women who played more than 350 games for the club.

Kelly played under John for a time at Lewes, before moving on to manage the Foundation Squad at the club.

Continuing his role as Goalkeeping Coach is Radd Reynolds, an FAW ‘B’ License Goalkeeper Coach with more than seven years of experience in the women’s game.

Radd has been at the club since 2019, and previously worked at both Lewes Women and Brighton & Hove Albion Women.

We would like to wish the new team all the best of luck for the season ahead.
