The fixture is the Mackerel Men’s first in a fortnight, after their scheduled league match against Hornchurch was postponed on two occasions due to the Essex side’s involvement in the FA Cup.

The Reds’ fixture with Merstham due to have been played on 28th September was also postponed due to the national petrol shortage, meaning Worthing’s last outing came against Corinthian Casuals – won by a 90th minute penalty dispatched by Mo Diallo.

Meanwhile, visitors Bishop’s Stortford have also had their league schedule disrupted as of late, after their planned fixture with Enfield Town was postponed due to the petrol situation.

Their arranged match against Corinthian-Casuals last Saturday was again postponed due to their opponent’s involvement in the FA Cup, with their last outing played on the same weekend as Worthing’s – an impressive 7-0 victory against strugglers Leatherhead.

Recent Meetings

The two sides last met back in February of last year in the voided season of 2019-20, with Ricky Aguiar’s striker giving the Reds three points in Hertfordshire.

Team News

The break from action has allowed chance for a few players to get over injuries – Joel Colbran, Cam Tutt and Jasper Pattenden are all now available for selection.
