Reds to face Rooks in Senior Cup

Worthing Football Club will host division-rivals Lewes in the third round of the Sussex Senior Cup.

The tie will take place at the Crucial Environmental Stadium on or before Wednesday 15th December, date to be confirmed.

Supporters will be hoping for a repeat of the entertainment served up when the two sides met in the league just four weeks ago when Adam Hinshelwood’s men edged a nine goal thriller at Woodside Road.

The Reds booked their place in round three with what turned out to be a comprehensive win over Seaford Town in the week, thanks in part to a hat-trick from Mo Diallo.

Lewes, who currently sit comfortably in the Isthmian League Premier Division play-off places ,secured their passage to this stage of the competition with 4-1 victory at Littlehampton Town.

The rest of the third round ties are as follows:-

Little Common vs. Three Bridges
Saltdean United vs. Eastbourne Borough
Mile Oak vs. Horsham YMCA
Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Chichester City
Horsham vs. Hastings United
Eastbourne Town vs. Crawley Town
Bexhill United vs. Bognor Regis Town
