Isthmian Premier Division Sat 9 April Len Salmon Stadium
Bowers & Pitsea
  • Pearce (42')
  • Pattenden (83')

The Reds made the best possible start to the month of April last weekend, continuing their fine form from March with a 1-0 win over Haringey Borough at the Crucial Environmental Stadium:

A single goal from Callum Kealy was enough to earn Worthing all three points against a 10-man Haringey side, although Bishop’s Stortford’s win at home to Folkestone Invicta meant they would have to wait at least another week to be crowned champions.

Meanwhile, hosts Bowers are nicely poised to sustain their Isthmian Premier League status, sitting nine points clear of the relegation zone in 17th depsite a 3-0 home loss to Cheshunt last time out.

Recent meetings

The two sides met in the reverse fixture back in August of last year at Woodside Road:

Ollie Pearce opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes, but a goal from Bradley Sach saw the sides go into the break level.

Six minutes into the second period, a goal from Aarran Racine restored Worthing’s lead, before another two strikes from Pearce and Tom Chalaye saw the Red cruise to victory and pick up their first of many wins of the season.
