Adam Hinshelwood will be preparing his side for the club’s first at National League South and they’ll start by facing Isthmian League South East Division Three Bridges on Tuesday 5th July in what will be a repeat of Sussex Senior Cup Challenge Cup semi-final which saw the Rebels come out convincing 5-0 winners.
Brighton & Hove Albion proved too strong in the final but the Worthing boss won’t have to wait long to lock horns with the Seagulls as the two sides will meet again on Friday 8th July.
The next day the Reds will take a team to Hinshelwood’s former side Selsey, a regular destination in recent pre-season’s. Shaq Gwengwe (2) and Frankie Perry were on target in last season’s 3-0 win.
League Two Swindon Town visit the Crucial Environmental Stadium on Saturday 23rd July, where former Rebels favourite Ricky Aguiar will face his old teammates for the first time having made the switch to the County Ground last summer.
On Tuesday 26th July we face Velocity Trophy winners Horsham in the Isthmian League Charity Cup at Woodside Road.
A trip to rivals Bognor Regis Town follows on Friday 29th July, a date that no doubt supporters of both clubs will be eagerly awaiting.
Preparations conclude with the toughest test of all when League One Wycombe Wanderers visit Woodside Road on Tuesday 2nd August. The Chairboys narrowly missed out on promotion to the Championship after losing the League One Play-Off final to Sunderland last month.
