Having featured throughout the club’s pre-season campaign, ‘Nods’ impressed the coaches enough to secure a deal: “I’m buzzing to get going for the start of the season, preparations are going well”. “It’s an honour to be part of a massive club, it’s a great environment to be involved in – the whole squad has been very welcoming and I’ve settled in well”.
“I hope I can give the fans something to be excited about”
The 22-year-old is well aware of the club’s record of developing players and is looking forward to developing his game under new manager Adam Hinshelwood.
“The main reason why I signed was seeing how competitive the squad is, the environment for development is the key factor”.
“The club has a great history of developing players and bringing them up to the Football League, which I’m aware of”.
“The facilities are quality, the 4G is really smooth and suits how the manager wants the team to play. We will get the ball moving and play out from the back. So far the coaching and training sessions have been exciting and varied which keeps you switched on”.
Last season he had short spells with Cheshunt and Corinthian Casuals before moving to Hungerford Town of National League South in February. Asked about his experience at Step 2 last year Nods said “There’s strong teams in the league, playing step 2 compared to step 3 the tempo is higher, the teams are tougher but we’ll be able to adapt with our style of play and the demands from the manager”.
The speedy winger can play a variety of positions across the frontline and sees himself becoming a versatile member of the squad “I can play on the left, right or down the centre and I’m happy to play wherever the manager wants me to make an impact”.
“I’m looking forward to getting off the mark with goals and assists for a confidence booster”.
His final word was for the fans “I’m very excited to be at the club, I’m a creative player and like to contribute in the final third. I hope I can give the fans something to be excited about”.
Bobomurodov will be working hard to be included in Adam Hinshelwood’s first competitive squad for the new season when we face Dover Athletic in the National League South at the Crucial Environmental Stadium next Saturday.
