The Teams

Worthing come into the fixtures having had an unbeaten start to their pre-season campaign so far, most recently drawing 1-1 away to Selsey last weekend:

Gambian under-20 international Mo Jammeh equalised for the Reds to earn a 1-1 draw at the Bunn Leisure Stadium.

The Reds are also in action this evening, playing FA Vase finalists Littlehampton Town at the Sportsfield.

Southern Premier League outfit Winchester City make the trip from Hampshire and have won, drawn, and lost their opening three games of pre-season:

A 6-1 thumping of Alton was followed by a 1-1 stalemate with Corsham Town, before a 2-0 loss to Worthing’s National League South rivals Slough Town on Tuesday.

Whitehawk of Pitching In Isthmian League Division One South East make the short journey across from Brighton, having, like Worthing, made an unbeaten start to their pre-season campaign:

Last weekend, the Hawks defeated National League South side Dulwich Hamlet by two goals to nil, before a draw away to Sutton Common Rovers.

Recent meetings

Worthing last met Winchester over a decade ago in 2012, with the Citizens running out 5-0 winners.

The Reds’ last outing against the Hawks came in August of 2020, with Worthing winning 2-1 at St Francis Rangers.
