In comes two highly experienced defenders in Rachel Palmer and Ellie Russell who join the Rebels from Tier 3 side Crawley. Palmer whose previous clubs include Lewes FC and Chelsea FC, has a sweet left foot, likes to play forward, and reads the game well.  Russell’s height, strength and physicality will be an asset to the defensive unit as they look to nullify threats from other teams. Russell’s previous clubs include Brighton and Hove Albion FC along with a stint at Chelsea FC.

In addition to booster the attacking options are four dynamic players, in come two from local side Saltdean FC. Chloe Winchester will bring a great work ethic along with assists and goals while 23-year-old Niamh Anderson is quick, athletic and will be a handful for any opposition.  Another tier 3 signing is Hayley Bridge who signs from Portsmouth FC. Hayley is tenacious, quick and will look to add quality down the widths. Prior to playing for Pompey, she was at Lewes FC. The final attacking option joins from Hastings FC. Georgia Tibble is a left footed midfielder who is composed, has good feet,  strong on the ball and will look to exploit her shooting ability.

The season starts on the 21st of August away to Dartford FC. The Rebels will look to go better than the two defeats last season. With these signings the future looks exciting, especially given the profile the women’s game is now getting during this year’s UEFA Women’s Euros. #WeAreWorthing
