The fixture comes a week after the Reds drew their opening game of the campaign at home to Dover Athletic at the Crucial Environmental Stadium on Saturday:

Summer signing Jake Robinson scored his first consecutive goal for the Reds to open the scoring in the fifth minute, but a strike from Dover’s Lee Martin eight minutes from half-time shared the spoils in front of a crowd of 1,506.

Meanwhile, hosts Welling were also held to a stalemate on the opening day, playing out a goalless draw at Taunton in Somerset.

Recent meetings

The two sides last met in a pre-season friendly a year ago in July:

Goals from a trialist, an own goal, Ollie Pearce, Shaquille Gwungue, and Reece Meekums helped Worthing to a 5-1 victory
