The home side have played at Clarence Park since their formation in 1908. Before that it was used by St Albans FC and St Albans Amateurs with the first match taking place on 22 September 1894.
In the 1992-93 season, the Saints finished as runners-up in the Isthmian League but were denied promotion after receiving a low ground grading due to a diseased oak tree growing within the Clarence Park Terrace.

By Road
If you are driving exit M25 at junction 22 (A1081). Follow signs to St.Albans from slip road. At London Colney roundabout (traffic light controlled) exit onto A1081. Follow the road for approximately 1 mile until a mini roundabout (Great Northern pub on left).
Turn right into Alma Road. At traffic lights turn right into Victoria Street and continue to the junction with the Crown pub. Go straight across into Clarence Road, ground is first on the left about 50 yards past the junction or take the next turning on the left into York Road, ground entrance is at the end of the road on the left.
There is little parking at the ground itself but there is plenty of on-street parking in Clarence Road and in York Road (which is the next left after the entrance to the ground).
Beware that at the bottom of Clarence Road, the car parking is restricted to one hour pay and display and the traffic wardens are usually out in force. There are no restrictions further up Clarence Road and there is a good sized car park at St Albans Railway Station which is a quarter of a mile away from the ground. It costs from £3.00 to park there all day on Saturdays.
By Train
The nearest station is St Albans City, which is served by Thameslink trains from St Pancras and further south of London.
The station is about a 5-10 minute walk away from the Clarence Park ground. Upon leaving the station entrance (on the east side), turn left along Station Way. At the top of this road turn right into Hatfield Road.
Go down to the traffic lights (where the Crown pub can be seen on one corner) and turn left into Clarence Road and then left again for the ground entrance.
Ground Facilities
Turnstiles will be open from 12.15pm on York Road, and the rest will open at 1.30pm for a 3pm kick off. This match is not segregated and food and drink will be available to both sets of supporters.
There is Clarence Park Terrace and a clubhouse at the ground, the Saints Bar, located behind the main stand and you have to go upstairs to the entrance. Away fans can use it at half time. You do need to show your match ticket for admission back into the ground.
Away Pubs
The nearest pub is just a five minute walk away at the bottom of Clarence Road, The Crown. This spacious pub shows Sky Sports and food is also available. The town centre is roughly a 15 minute walk away and there are plenty of pubs to be found.
