The fixture comes a week after the Reds’ last runout, after their scheduled midweek home fixture with Tonbridge Angels was postponed due to extreme weather conditions:
On Saturday, Worthing took on Slough Town at the Crucial Environmental Stadium for the second time in as many months:
Javaun Splatt converted a penalty won by Reece Meekums to put Worthing ahead in the seventh minute, but Scott Davies equalised for Slough five minutes later.
The second half saw the visitors turn the game on its head, with Josh Jackman putting his side ahead in the 57th minute.
But with 15 minutes left to play, Dan Bowry equalised for the Mackerels to share the spoils at Woodside Road.
Meanwhile, hosts Hungerford’s match away to Oxford City was one of four that survived the torrential conditions in midweek, which saw them lose by two goals to nil.
Form
Worthing climbed a place to sixth position despite not playing in midweek, however the Reds have only picked up 6 points from their last 6 National League South meetings.
The Crusaders currently sit just one place off the bottom of the table and have lost 5 of their last 6, their only win in that run coming impressively at play-off chasing Bath City.
