The Reds go into the fixture having travelled to Berkshire three days ago to face Slough Town at Arbour Park:
After an even opening 35 minutes, the game took a controversial turn when Slough’s Joe Dandy was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on James Beresford.
Within the same incident, Elliott Benyon was also dismissed for the hosts, seemingly for dissent leaving them down to nine men for the remainder of the match.
The half would then get worse for the home side when Beresford curled a sublime shot past a helpless Will Dennis to put Worthing a goal up before half time.
15 minutes into the second period, Josh Jackman equalised for Slough despite being two men light, subsequently sharing the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
Meanwhile, Ebbsfleet drew 0-0 at home to Hemel Hempstead Town on Saturday afternoon.
Form
Worthing’s stalemate away to Slough meant they dropped one place to sixth in the table, on 60 points from 36 games.
Ebbsfleet are run-away leaders of the table, in pole position on 81 points having also played 36 games, and are 15 clear of second-placed Dartford having played a game more.
