The fixture comes four days after the Reds travelled to Kent to face table-toppers Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday evening:

In the 11th minute, Worthing took the lead through a goal from Reece Meekums, but the hosts responded with three goals before half time to put them in full control with a 3-1 lead at the interval.

Fleet started the second half the way they ended the first, and saw themselves 5-1 up around the hour mark.

Danny Barker pulled a consolation back for Worthing in the 80th minute, but this was followed by another two goals from Ebbsfleet with the final score ending 7-2 to the home side.

Meanwhile, Bath City beat Hemel Hempstead Town by a goal to nil at home to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Recent meetings

The two sides most recently met in the reverse fixture in Somerset over the Christmas period:

After a goalless first half, the game sprang to life in the 54th minute, when Ollie Pearce put Worthing 1-0 up with a rebounded free kick.

The lead would only last three minutes, however, after two goals in seven minutes from Sonny Cox turned the game on its head and put Bath 2-1 up.

With the Reds looking incredibly likely to end 2022 with defeat, in injury time, Pearce crossed a deep free kick into the area, with Dan Bowry heading across the Bath six yard box.

Substitute Ollie Starkey was on hand to tap the ball into the empty net to snatch a point for Worthing.

Team News

Mo Dabre will be back available for the Reds following his suspension which he served on Tuesday night.

Adam Hinshelwood also hopes to have Liam Vincent back available for tomorrow’s clash with the Romans.
