Worthing Football Club are searching for a sub-editor for the start of the 2023/24 season to help with our Official Matchday Programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring sports journalist or media officer to gain valuable experience in a football environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating content for our publication ‘Woodside’ alongside our current Programme Editor, attending meetings where required.
• Reporting to the Programme Editor, produce accurate, balanced, well produced and informative articles with a strong sense of grammar.
• Ensure content and coverage is consistent with league policies and values; and complies with applicable laws and regulations adhering to strict deadlines.
• Manage and discuss ideas with the programme editor to decide on programme direction, content production and guest requirements.
• Working as part of a team to create engaging content for our Mens and Womens teams. It can also include some charity games.

As a community club this position cannot offer any pay, however it does provide invaluable experience for anyone passionate about a career in football. We want to continue to provide the best and most professional programme in the league.
