The Reds were due to take on AFC Wimbledon at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium.
With the England National team’s World Cup journey continuing all the way to the final which kick-offs at 11am UK time, clubs were offered the choice to postpone league fixtures, freeing players up to enjoy what could be a breakthrough moment for Womens football in this country, building on the European Championship victory last summer.
The club will be open from 10.30am showing the game live in the Stand Bar, with food available in the form of bacon or halloumi rolls. The bar will be open for soft drinks and teas and coffees from 10.45am – full bar from midday.
A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course, with the ladies next in action on Sunday 27th August when they travel to Portishead Town in the Determining Round of the FAWNL Cup.
As it stands their opening league fixture will take place on Sunday 3rd September against Chesham at Woodside Road.
