It comes after a month that saw Hinshelwood’s side win five out of their opening six league fixtures, the only blip coming in the home defeat to Aveley.

They finished August as the early pace setters in the division and although pleased, Hinshelwood played down the award: “It’s great for the whole management team to be recognised, because it is a team effort”.

“We won this award back in January then lost the next three league games, so we’ll be hoping that doesn’t repeat itself!”

“Saturday’s defeat showed what can happen in this league, so we’re not getting ahead of ourselves”.
