Wheeler, who joined from Dorking Wanderers in the summer, hit the ground running as a Rebel, scoring a 95th-minute winner on the opening day against Tonbridge Angels.

The left midfielder bagged three goals and made one assist in his six appearances in August, as the Reds made a bright start to the campaign.

Wheeler was voted as Player of the Month by the Worthing FC Supporters Association and was presented with his award on Saturday afternoon.
