The sides were due to meet back in November but the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Optima Stadium.

Worthing are looking to build momentum after an impressive second half comeback on Saturday that saw Ollie Pearce score a hat-trick to beat Chippenham Town 3-1.

The Reds had plenty of possession in the first half but failed to make their chances count and found themselves behind at the interval after Matt McClure poked home in added time in the first half.

But, the Rebels came out fighting after the break and were back level in 50 seconds when Pearce netted his first, poking home himself from close range.

Pearce netted his second midway through the half after Danny Cashman squared to him and the striker completed his hat-trick inside the last ten minutes, heading in from Ricky Aguiar’s cross.

The result meant that the Rebels jumped back into the playoff places in seventh, just four points behind second-placed Hampton & Richmond Borough with a game in hand.

The Opposition

Team News

Glen Rea made his return to action for the Rebels on Saturday, coming on as a substitute early in the second half. It was Rea’s first Worthing appearance since 28th October when he was part of the Rebels side that beat Bath City 2-0 away from home.

Adam Hinshelwood has confirmed that Nicky Wheeler and Jake Robinson are also close to making their returns but are likely to be ready for minutes on Saturday, rather than tonight’s match in Somerset.
