The club acknowledges the decision of the Football Association to withdraw Worthing FC from the Sussex Women’s Challenge Cup 2023/24 competition.

This follows the confirmation from the Sussex FA, that due to an administrative error, Worthing fielded an ineligible player in the Semi-Final against Newhaven Ladies, which Worthing won 0-4.

Subject to the outcome, Newhaven Ladies will now face Saltdean in the Sussex Women’s Challenge Cup Final scheduled for Wednesday 24th April
