Worthing completed a league double over Torquay United last time out with goals from Dylan Fage, Ollie Pearce and Danny Cashman (2) contributing to a 4-2 win.

The Rebels went a goal down in the first 15 minutes when Tom Lapslie opened the scoring, but the home side responded brilliantly and brushed aside the Gulls in the remainder of the first half, creating chance after chance on their way to a 3-1 lead at the interval.

The second half was a better contest and the Gulls got themselves back into it with a fabulous strike from Elton Archer.

Substitute Ollie Starkey drew a foul from Gulls skipper Dean Moxey, who was already on a booking, just moments after coming on and Torquay were forced to play the final ten minutes or so with just ten men.

The Rebels took full advantage of the extra man advantage, with Danny Cashman netting his second of the contest into the top right corner in front of the 2,200-strong crowd.

The result moved the Rebels onto 53 points in the National League South, maintaining their second-placed position in the league table.

You have to go back to the 1990/91 season for the last meetings, during which both were competing in the Isthmian League Division 1. The Millers ran out comprehensive winners on both occasions that season, 4-0 (home) and 5-1 (away).

Team News

Adam Hinshelwood has confirmed that there are no new injury concerns ahead of this weekend’s trip to Aveley.

A boost to the Rebels’ side is that Kane Wills is back available having been away for the recent home matches against Slough Town and Torquay United.
