The 20-year-old midfielder made 30 appearances in all competitions for the Rebels last term, scoring three goals and making three assists, making himself a key member of the Reds’ midfield.
His first goal for the Reds was a remarkable 25-yard free-kick at home against Tonbridge Angels which helped the Reds take all three points in a 3-2 victory.
Chambers was recalled from his loan by his parent club for the final few games of last season where he was part of the Gills’ matchday squads. He has eight first-team appearances to his name for the League Two outfit, including two appearances in the third tier.
He was sent out on loan to fellow National League South side Welling United earlier this season where he featured nine times for the South London side, scoring once.
The midfielder is available to play in the Rebels’ National League South match against Bath City on Sunday, which will be televised live on TNT Sports.
