John has been a huge part of our football club for over 25 years, volunteering his services both as a director and in more recent years as an advisor and financial administrator.

Chairman Barry Hunter and shareholder George Dowell jointly commented:
“This is incredibly sad news. John was a club stalwart dedicating much of his time to support Worthing Football Club, through some very difficult periods in the club’s recent history. Without his dedication, there is absolutely no doubt we would not be in the positive position we are today.

There is often much talk about unsung heroes, people behind the scenes enabling the club to function, well John was very much that person. John loved the club and the club loved John. We are going to miss John terribly and our thoughts are with Donna, Megan, Ellie, Toby, Marcus and the rest of John’s family and friends at this very difficult time.”
