The 26-year-old defender becomes Chris Agutter’s fourth summer signing as he joins his boss in making the switch to Woodside Road from Hastings.

His gutsy and courageous performances last season impressed Agutter enough for him to earn the Manager’s Player of the Season award which was coupled with him swooping the Director’s Player of the Season award at Pilot Field.

Having coached Ollie across both spells at Pilot Field, Ollie is a player that Agutter knows very well, “Ollie is a combative and aggressive Left Centre Back who is equally capable of playing Left Back,” said the new Worthing boss.

His consistent performances played a pivotal part in the U’s promotion campaign from the Isthmian South East Division on the 2021/22 season.

“He defends first, is very good aerially in both boxes, and will do the basics incredibly well, consistently. Ollie is another addition who has won leagues and understands how to get over the line – he will fit right in at Worthing.”Chris Agutter

Before joining Hastings United in 2018, Ollie played for Charlton Athletic and Eastbourne Borough at youth level.

“I’ve been with Agi since I was 17,” said Ollie, “he was at Eastbourne Borough with me and then came over to Hastings. I like the way he plays football and I think it suits me best.”
