Worthing salvaged a point deep into injury time at Hemel Hempstead to kick off their bank holiday weekend of away trips just yesterday. Jack Spong came up with the goods in the 97th minute to get the equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game after the side went a goal down in the first half.

It means the Rebels maintained their unbeaten start to the season having won one and drawn two all away from home. They are now halfway through their six away matches to start the season and Chris Agutter has now completed his suspension, which means he can return to the dugout at Truro tomorrow afternoon.

Jack Spong has been the man of the moment for Agutter’s side. His goal yesterday was his fourth in just three matches!

Team News

Chris Agutter confirmed that there will be a couple of changes to the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Truro with his side playing matches in such quick succession.

Joel Colbran was rested at Hemel Hempstead yesterday afternoon but Agutter confirmed that he will come back into the side at Truro.

View from the Camp – Chris Agutter

“If you look at the challenges we’ve faced, couple that with being away from home and having done a lot of miles on the road, for us to be unbeaten is a real positive – and we’ve been playing some good football.

“We’re travelling to Truro on the Sunday and doing an overnight stay, so the club has given us the best opportunity possible to make sure we’re in the best position to compete and win the game, which is the challenge.

“Like anything, we’re looking at the positives and viewing it as an opportunity”.

The Opposition

Truro have made a positive start to the campaign having picked up seven points from a possible twelve so far. Their bank holiday weekend started with a home win against Enfield Town yesterday afternoon – their first win at their new stadium.

Tyler Harvey has been the danger man for the Tinners, having scored four goals so far this term. His brace against Enfield helped them to a 3-1 victory.

Previous Meetings

When Truro came to Woodside Road in October last season, it was the first time ever Worthing had played a team from Cornwall! It was an entertaining afternoon that day, as the Rebels drew 2-2 despite being reduced to nine men in a dramatic encounter.

The Rebels were a class above in the reverse fixture, which is also the most recent meeting between the sides. A brace each for Danny Cashman and Ollie Pearce helped Worthing to a dominant 4-1 win at Bolitho Park.

Travel & Parking

By Road: Exit the A30 at Chiverton Cross and take the second exit onto the A390. Go straight on at the next roundabout and follow the road until you reach a set of traffic lights. Turn left at the lights into the Langarth Park and Ride site. Part of the site has been allocated for supporter parking on matchdays. At this time there is no charge for parking, and clear signage is in place to direct you to the sports hub once you reach the Park & Ride site.

By Rail: Truro Train Station is the nearest station to the ground, but it is about 3 miles away from the ground itself, so it is a bit too far to walk. Truro Train Station is served by all Park & Ride bus services, as well as additional services running to Threemilestone, mentioned above. Once supporters reach Truro Train Station there are regular services which can transport them to the Sports Hub quickly and safely.
