The second of two away trips over the bank holiday weekend is at Truro City where the Rebels will play for the first time ever in Cornwall. At the time of writing, Truro have picked up four points from a possible nine in the National League South and the encounter with the Rebels will be just their second home league match since returning to Truro.
The Ground
After moving out of Treyew Road, and Truro altogether back in 2021, the Tinners finally returned to their home city for the start of this season. They played their first home match at the new Truro Sports Hub against Dorking Wanderers earlier this month.
The new 3,000-capacity ground has its main stand on the north side, which has around 300 seats. Next to the stand are two smaller uncovered terraces on either side. The dugouts are housed opposite the main stand but there is no cover for supporters behind the dugouts. In their season opener against Dorking, there appeared to be a marquee located on this south side which was the main food and drink outlet while smaller food outlets were also located along this side.
There are covered standing facilities behind the eastern goal which looks to be a good-sized terrace. The changing rooms are opposite, behind the goal on the west side of the ground. The ground is completed with a set of four modern floodlight pylons.
Tickets
Tickets for the match are available to purchase online and at the gate, although prices will rise by £2 across all categories on the day, compared to the advance cost of an individual ticket. Advance prices are as follows:
- Adult – £15.00
- Concession – £13.00
- Under-18 – £5.00
- Under-12 – £3.00
- Family – £30.00
All supporters under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Travel & Parking
By Road: Exit the A30 at Chiverton Cross and take the second exit onto the A390. Go straight on at the next roundabout and follow the road until you reach a set of traffic lights. Turn left at the lights into the Langarth Park and Ride site. Part of the site has been allocated for supporter parking on matchdays. At this time there is no charge for parking, and clear signage is in place to direct you to the sports hub once you reach the Park & Ride site.
By Rail: Truro Train Station is the nearest station to the ground, but it is about 3 miles away from the ground itself, so it is a bit too far to walk. Truro Train Station is served by all Park & Ride bus services, as well as additional services running to Threemilestone, mentioned above. Once supporters reach Truro Train Station there are regular services which can transport them to the Sports Hub quickly and safely.
Ground Facilities & Pubs
There are food and drink facilities open at Truro Sports Hub for all supporters. As mentioned above, these are believed to be located on the south side of the ground.
