The club was notified Friday by suppliers that the delivery of the back-of-stand panel cladding is delayed by 10 days. This will mean that for safety reasons the new north stand will not be operational for this fixture and as a result, attendance will be restricted to 1,500.
COO Keith Mitchell commented, “We have given our suppliers every chance to meet their deadline but they have fallen marginally short. People will see the enormity of the works completed and we ask supporters for a little more understanding as we get this huge undertaking over the line”.
Given attendance restrictions, the fixture on 7th September will be all ticket, there will not be any tickets available to purchase at the gate on match day. The club will be able to host more than what was an average match day attendance last season with season ticket holders guaranteed entry.
All other tickets will be carefully allocated between the club’s ticket website for purchase online from 12pm on Tuesday, and at the ground’s ticket office from 12pm -8pm Tuesday to Friday. Allocated tickets will be sold on a first come basis and will be restricted to two per person.
As per National League rules, Hornchurch have been allocated 10% of the tickets for Saturday’s match. Although there will be no segregation in place, Hornchurch supporters will be able to purchase tickets at a separate link.
The club can also confirm that plans to provide an attendance loyalty scheme are forthcoming with an announcement soon.
If we are drawn at home for the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round fixture on Saturday 14th September, it is likely that this match will also be subject to similar restrictions. A further update for this potential fixture will be issued in due course.
