The Rebels finally return home after a long four months away from Woodside! A lot has happened since the Promotion Final defeat a few months ago and new boss Chris Agutter is now preparing for his first home match in charge as ground works continue at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium.
His side have returned 11 points from their six-straight away matches to start the season, with wins coming at Weston-super-Mare, Hampton & Richmond Borough and most recently, Boreham Wood.
Danny Cashman’s winner at Meadow Park earlier this week has been seen over 5 million times on X alone as he and Harrison Smith combined brilliantly to cut through Boreham Wood on the counter-attack to seal victory on their travels. Temi Babalola netted the opener on Monday night – his first goal for the club.

Glen Rea will serve his one-match suspension tomorrow for the red card he received at Hampton & Richmond.
Chris Agutter has confirmed that Joel Colbran is still recovering from his ankle injury and is unavailable for Saturday’s encounter with the Urchins. However, Agutter revealed that a return was close for the club captain.
Cameron Tutt is the other who remains sidelined for the Rebels as he continues his recovery from a broken foot. Agutter said that Tutt is “weeks away rather than days”.

“I’m very excited to be playing in front of our home crowd. It’s nice to bring the team home and give the supporters an opportunity to show them what we can do.
“I think Hornchurch are very good. They’ve got real threat in forward areas and they get the ball forward quickly and they do it with real quality. They’ve got really good individuals, especially in forward areas, that could get in most teams at the level.
“We’re playing in moments and although we’re producing some fantastic stuff in moments, the challenge for us is to turn those moments into spells and spells into halves and halves into games”.

Hornchurch have adjusted well to life in the National League South under Daryl McMahon. The Urchins have picked up 10 points from seven games and are placed 13th in the embryonic league table.
