3-2

Worthing first played Havant & Waterlooville on 11th August 1998, in what must have been one of the first fixtures for our opponents, newly-created from an amalgamation of Waterlooville and Havant Town. This pre-season friendly, played at Woodside Road, ended 3-1 to our visitors, Danny Smith scoring our goal.

That result is our largest losing margin in these fixtures: our highest winning margin is four goals, as occurred in the 5-1 victory in the National League South match played in Hampshire on 29th March this year, which is our latest meeting. Ollie Pearce scored twice and Danny Cashman, Fin Chadwick and Tommy Willard each netted once in a result that replicated the score from the same fixture the previous season.
