Since 1998, Gareth has been faithfully serving Worthing Football Club when he was made Kit Manager by the then Manager, Sammy Donnelly. He held that position until 2015 and to this day, he is often seen litter picking, dressing room cleaning, leaf collecting, weeding, painting, sweeping and even sandwich making!

Gareth was hand-picked by the late, great former Chairman/President Morty Hollis to become the new secretary in 2008, a position he proudly held until 2015.

Gareth attends all first team, under 18s and women’s games; liaising with other clubs in regard to arranging/rearranging fixtures, filling in team sheets, completing all relevant post-match paperwork and comprising match reports. He’s responsible for marking the referees on MOAS and has built up a good rapport with many match officials and clubs over the years through his various roles, responsibilities and commitment to Worthing alongside a spot of ground hopping, when time allows.

He has struggled with his mental health over the past 25 years with passing of many loved ones, be that family or friends and Worthing FC has been the one real constant in his life.

Congratulations and thank you, Gareth, for all that you do.
