The 23-year-old shot-stopper rejoined the Rebels in the summer after six years away from the club but the goalkeeper will now likely miss the remainder of the season after a scan revealed that he has ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).
It’s the second time in two seasons that Taylor has suffered a serious knee injury, having injured his other knee while at Burgess Hill last season.
On the advice of a consultant, Taylor will have an operation on his knee to allow him to make a full recovery. He has set up a fundraising page to raise money for his surgery. Supporters who wish to donate can do so at the link below:
Everyone at the club would like to wish Taylor the best of luck in his recovery and hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible.
