The Rebels have been left frustrated in recent matches, having only picked up one point from a possible nine in the National League South with defeats at Chesham United and Farnborough either side of a draw at home against Chelmsford City.

Chris Agutter was absent on Tuesday night as his side fell to defeat at Farnborough having played the majority of the second half with ten men following Joe Cook’s red card.

The result meant that the Rebels dropped back out of the play-off positions to 8th, but they are just two points behind Slough Town in 7th, with a game in hand.

Team News

Ollie Black and Tommy Willard are doubtful for tomorrow’s clash. Black suffered a concussion during the Sussex Senior Cup win against Eastbourne United which has kept him out of the last two matches, while Willard went off with a thigh injury early on against Farnborough on Tuesday night.

Glen Rea will serve the fourth and final match of his suspension on Saturday, meaning he will be available for Tuesday night’s trip to Salisbury.

Danny Cashman was the other to go off injured on Tuesday night, but boss Chris Agutter confirmed that he should be fine to play tomorrow against Weston-super-Mare.

View from the Camp – Chris Agutter

“Having now watched Tuesday’s game at Farnborough, we got into some really good positions and created some really good opportunities but we need to be more ruthless in the opposition’s box and take our chances and again, we’ve got to cut out the individual mistakes in our own box.

“90% of it was really good and we’re really happy with and we look like a really good team. But there’s 10% which needs improving, and arguably, it’s the most important 10% which is both boxes.

“We’re looking forward to the challenge. They are a really good side and they are the benchmark of the league this season. They are the team that we need to look to in terms of reference point of being the best team in the league at the minute”.

The Opposition

Although they dropped down to second place in midweek, Scott Bartlett’s side have often been the ones leading the way so far this season. Before Tuesday night’s defeat at Torquay, the Seagulls had only lost once in the National League South since the dramatic opening day encounter with Worthing.

Despite defeat on Tuesday night, Weston remain top of the form guide having won four out of their last six matches in the league. They have slipped to second in the league table, but remain level on points with league leaders Truro City with a game in hand.

The Seagulls have been free-scoring this season, too. They are the league’s third top scorers with 33 goals in 18 matches. Luke Coulson is their top goalscorer, with 10 to his name this term.

Last Six
26/11 – Torquay United (A) – Lost 4-2
23/11 – Farnborough (H) – Won 4-3
16/11 – Weymouth (H) – Lost 2-3 (FA Trophy)
11/11 – Hemel Hempstead Town (A) – Won 0-1
09/11 – Bath City (A) – Won 0-2
05/11 – Weymouth (H) – Drew 1-1
