Chris Agutter’s side will be looking to extend their good run of results in the National League South, having picked up 10 points from a possible 12.
They overcame Enfield Town in their final home game of 2024 thanks to a goal from their captain, Joel Colbran. The result meant that the Rebels climbed to 7th in the league table and are now just one point behind today’s opponents, Dorking, with a game in hand.
The Rebels have a commendable Boxing Day record, boasting 50 wins across 84 matches, including triumphs in each of their last three outings on this festive date.
Team News
It is expected that Chris Agutter will have the same squad available to him as he did for Saturday’s win at home to Enfield Town. Alfie Young is likely to miss out after picking up a knock a couple of weeks ago, while Tommy Willard remains a doubt with his thigh injury.
Joe Cook was back on the bench for the Rebels on Saturday and could feature this afternoon against his former club.
The Opposition
The Wanderers have been on an impressive run of late, winning three and drawing two of their last five matches. The run includes a big 7-1 win over Hemel Hempstead Town and a 5-0 win most recently against Chesham United.
They now sit 4th in the National League South and are just three points off top-spot in a highly congested top section of the table.
