The Rebels can extend their lead at the top of the table to four points if they win tonight, with the rest of the top seven all in action tomorrow night. Their opponents, Aveley are bottom of the league table and 11 points adrift from safety with 9 matches to play.

The Ground

Parkside has been Aveley’s home since the start of the 2017/18 season after selling their old Mill Field ground to developers. The ground has a capacity of 3,500 with 424 of those seated.

The ground itself is entered by turnstiles at either end of the main stand. Dealing with this structure first, it doubles as a seating area (pitchside) with a standing area behind it, with the clubhouse/bar, changing rooms and admin area inside. Seats are provided for about 150 fans.

The far side of the pitch is home to another stand which straddles the halfway line and has, probably the same amount of seating. In addition to these stands, there are designated covered standing areas behind each goal, and a metal barrier which stretches around the circumference of the playing surface.
