Although the majority of our matches with Enfield Town have taken place in the Isthmian League Premier Division, our first encounter was an FA Cup 2nd qualifying round tie that took place on 26th September 2010, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Enfield.
This was before our opponents had moved to their current ground, so the match took place at Goldsdown Road, the home of Brimsdown Rovers.
Our first league meetings came in the 2016/17 season, after our promotion to the Premier Division, and we lost both matches; 2-1 away (the first time we had played at their current ground) and 3-1 at home.
We fared better the following season, drawing the home fixture and recording our first win against them in the return match.
We repeated this achievement by winning the away match again the following season, but later suffered our largest margin of defeat in these meetings, when Enfield won 3-0 at Woodside Road.
In 2019/20 we were rivals for promotion, but our hard-fought 3-2 home victory counted for nothing after the season was abandoned and declared null and void.
We did not meet during the shortened 2020/21 season, but were both back challenging for promotion the following year. We drew 2-2 in Middlesex and won 3-0 at home on our way to winning the Championship: Enfield finished third and lost out in the play-offs.
We met in National League South for the first time last season, after Enfield had successfully
negotiated the Isthmian League play-offs.
We won 1-0 at home then, on the last day of the season(26th April) and recorded our largest margin of victory in these matches, winning 5-1 at Enfield, with two goals from Mo Faal and one each from Glen Rea, Jack Spong and Liam Nash.
