The midfielder initially departed the Sussex Transport Community Stadium during the summer following the expiration of his contract. There was plenty of interest in the all-encompassing midfielder and his services were snapped up by Lewes. His time at the Dripping Pan was brief yet fruitful with a couple of goals and several commanding displays before the two parties decided to part ways last month.

Despite his tender years, ‘Chopper’ has already provided some eye-catching moments, with several occurring in a Worthing shirt. His audacious goal from inside his own half against Broadbridge Heath in the Sussex Community Shield was voted as our August 2023 Goal of the Month, while also netting the winning penalty in the match-deciding shootout that earned the silverware.

He made his senior debut back in February 2023 and would go on to be heavily involved with the First-Team squad under both Adam Hinshelwood and Chris Agutter, with loan spells and dual registration stints at the likes of Whitehawk, Littlehampton Town, Steyning Town and Chichester City interspersed throughout his senior career.

Chadwick is truly one of our own having worked his way through the ranks from our Development Centre to the youth teams before captaining the U18’s, with whom he collected winner’s medals, as a double Isthmian Youth League Champion and Sussex Dennis Probee Youth Cup winner.

Our latest addition – who turns twenty-one next week – will wear the number 26 and is available for selection for tomorrow’s match against Hemel Hempstead Town in the National League South.

Welcome home, Chopper!
