The fixture comes after the Reds’ derby win on Saturday which saw them win by two goals to one against rivals Lewes at The Dripping Pan:
Callum Kealy put Worthing a goal up in the 32nd minute, before an own goal from Aarran Racine six minutes later took the sides into the break level.
With the game looking as though it would end in a tie, a wonder strike from Jesse Starkey twelve minutes from time was enough for Worthing to snatch all three points in front of 2,300 spectators.
Meanwhile, hosts East Thurrock currently lie in 21st place seven points adrift of safety, and were most recently brushed aside 3-0 by Enfield Town.
Recent meetings
The two sides met in the reverse fixture earlier this season back in September in an enthralling match at the Crucial Environmental Stadium:
The Rocks took the lead in the 15th minute through Johnny Ashman, but Ollie Pearce levelled the scoring 16 minutes later.
His response was met by a wonderstrike by Paulius Ditkevicius in the 41st minute, but a goal from former Red Alfie Young took Worthing into the break level at 2-2.
Aarran Racine’s header in the 54th minute gave Worthing the lead in the game for the first and last time, as East Thurrock failed to respond to give the Reds a 3-2 victory.
