The Champions welcomed a full capacity crowd, for their final league game of an incredibly successful season.
Hinshelwood’s side impressed early on with their free-flowing football producing a number of chances, however they couldn’t find a way past Charlie Turner.
Eventually, Reece Myles-Meekums would find the back of the net in the 21st minute, as he slotted home with composure. Unfortunately, Meekums was denied though by the linesman’s offside flag.
Worthing continued to dominate for the remainder of the first, however they were unable to find a way past Turner.
The Rebels came out for the second half brightly, as they continued to press for an opener and on the hour mark, they found it.
Jasper Pattenden lobbed Turner to put Worthing in front and claim their 100th goal of the league season!
The visitors pushed for an equaliser late on, however The Mackerel Men were able to hold onto their one goal lead with relative ease.
A dominant display was something Worthing fans had become accustomed to this season. It was fitting that the sell-out crowd were treated to another one, on the final game of the league season.
