The fixture comes a week after Worthing suffered a late defeat away to Braintree Town last weekend:
Ollie Pearce put the Reds 1-0 up in the 11th minute, but Matt Rush equalised for the hosts seven minutes later.
With the game looking to end a stalemate, the home side were awarded a penalty for a handball which Alfie Matthews converted to give Braintree all three points.
Meanhwile, visitors Taunton have had a successful seven days, which began with a goalless draw to National League side Yeovil Town in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round at Huish Park.
The replay at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium saw the Peacocks win the tie 1-0, and were drawn away against EFL League One side MK Dons for the first round proper of the competition.
Form
The two sides have struggled to find form in the last month, with both sides going without a win in their last four National League outings.
Worthing still find themselves in sixth place after 12 games, with five wins, five draws and two losses, whilst Taunton occupy 17th place after 11 games, winning three, drawing and losing four.

Adam Hinshelwood will be without captain Aarran Racine for the next three matches following his sending off at Braintree, while the injuries also mount up with Kane Wills and Danny Barker unlikely to be fit, joining longer term absentee Joel Colbran on the treatment table.
Striker Ibby Akanbi will be hoping to make his home debut after starting the defeat at the Dunmow Group Stadium last week.
