The 18-year-old plays as a centre midfielder by trade and will be looking to build up his first team experience as he joins Adam Hinshelwood’s squad.
Chambers made his League One debut for the Gills back in March, coming on as a substitute in their 1-0 win against Doncaster. He then went on to make his full debut at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland in April.
The youngster has only made two senior appearances this season, coming on as a substitute both times in the Papa John’s Trophy. No doubt, Chambers will be keen to impress during his time here on the South Coast to continue his development as a young footballer.
He is available for today’s Vanarama National South clash away at Hungerford Town.
