The Reds have had a contrasting seven days in the lead up to the fixture, which saw an emphatic 5-1 victory away to Havant & Waterlooville followed by a 6-0 defeat to table toppers Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday evening at the Crucial Environmental Stadium.

Meanwhile, hosts Dover Athletic suffered a 2-0 away loss at the hands of Cheshunt in midweek, both goals coming from former Worthing winger Zack Newton.

Worthing remain in the playoff positions in sixth despite their heavy midweek loss on 35 points, whilst Dover currently sit in mid table in 12th on 27 points, having only won one of their most recent six matches in all competitions:

The game was largely overshadowed by unsavoury scenes on the terraces caused by a section of Dover’s travelling “supporters”.

Team News

Lewis White is set to miss out on a place in tomorrow’s squad with illness. The winger missed Tuesday night’s defeat at Ebbsfleet and didn’t take part in training later in the week.

Danny Barker and Cam Tutt continue their recovery from injury but the away trip to Dover comes too soon for both players.

By Road: Follow A27 to A23 and then M23. Join M25 then take the M2/A2 (following the signs to Canterbury, then from Canterbury follow signs to Dover) as far as the Whitfield roundabout (there is a McDonald’s Drive-Thru on the left). Take the fourth exit at this roundabout, down Whitfield Hill. At the bottom of the hill turn left at the roundabout and follow this road until the first set of traffic lights. At the lights turn right (180 degrees down the hill) and follow the road under the railway bridge, the ground is a little further up the road on the left. There is no parking for supporters within the ground, although parking is available in the rugby ground, which is just inside the main entrance – stewards will direct you. If you have to take the M20/A20 leave the A20 in Folkestone (the exit immediately after the tunnel through the hill) and travel through the Alkham Valley (turn left at the roundabout at the end of the slip-road and then left again, following the signs for Alkham) which will eventually take you near Kearsney train station (turn right into Lower Road just before the railway bridge, before you get to the station).

By Rail: 

The nearest railway station is Kearsney which is around a 15 minute walk away from the ground. This station is served by trains from London Victoria and Dover Priory, although not all trains stop at this station, so check beforehand. Dover Priory Railway Station is also served by trains from London St Pancras (change at East Croydon if getting a train from Worthing). However, the station is over two miles away from the ground, so either take another train to Kearnsey or take a taxi up to the Crabble grounds. Alternatively you can take the 90 or 91 bus from Pencester Road in the town centre up to the ground.
