Park View Road, named the J Hearndean Skip Hire Community Stadium for sponsorship reasons, has been home to Welling United since 1977 and has a capacity of 4,500 with 1,000 of those seated.
On one side is a classic old-looking seated Main Stand. This stand which was opened in 1950 (and extended later in the 1960’s) is covered and runs for about 2/3rds of the length of the pitch. The angle of the stand is quite steep, meaning that fans are kept quite close to the playing action, however, there are a row of supporting pillars running across the front of the stand which could impede your view.
Opposite is the much newer East Stand which was opened in 2002, also known as the Cricket Club side. This stand is all covered and all seated. It has a capacity of 600. However, it only runs half the length of the pitch (towards the Danson Park End) and has a pair of pillars on either side which also serve as floodlight pylons.
Both ends are open terraces. The larger of these is at the Danson Park End, which looks quite picturesque with a number of large trees behind it. Opposite is the smaller High Street End. This end is located very close to the main road and passengers on the upper deck of passing buses can see into the ground.

Travel & Parking
Address: J Hearndean Skip Hire Community Stadium, Park View Road, Welling, Kent, DA16 1SY
By Road: Leave the M25 at Junction 2 and take the A2 towards Central London. Leave the A2 at the third exit (signposted A221 to Bexleyheath and Sidcup). Take the A221 towards Bexleyheath and at the next roundabout turn right (3rd exit) continue towards Bexleyheath. You will go under a bridge that carries the A2. At the next roundabout take the second exit into Danson Road. Follow this road until you reach a T-junction. At these traffic lights turn left into Park View Road. The ground is down on the left. There is no car park at the ground as such, but there is plenty of street parking available.
By Rail: Welling Railway Station is situated just under a mile away from the Park View Road ground. It is served by trains from London Cannon Street and London Charing Cross. As you come out of the station entrance go down the access road and at the bottom of this road turn left onto Central Avenue. This leads onto a T-Junction with Bellegrove Road (there is the Plough & Harrow pub in front of you which shows Sky Sports) at which you turn left. Continue straight along Bellegrove Road and this leads into the High Street. The ground is further down the High Street on your right.
Ground Facilities & Away Pubs
There is a Social Club at the ground that welcomes away fans. The entrance is located just outside the ground by the turnstiles. Otherwise almost next door to the stadium is a pub called the ‘Guy Earl of Warwick’. Further along the High Street there are a number of others pubs including the Rose & Crown, the Nag’s Head and a Wetherspoon pub called the New Cross Turnpike. There is also an interesting micro pub on the High Street called the Door Hinge, which is well recommended and is featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. It sells only real ale and cider, but seats just 22 people. If you take a left out of the ground onto the main road, then passing the Guy Earl Of Warwick pub on your left then you’ll reach in this order on the right; the Rose and Crown, the Door Hinge, the Nag’s Head and then the Wetherspoons pub is further down on the left (past Tescos and KFC).
